I have used QuickLOAD for more than 20 years. It is invaluable for load development when using obdolete cartridges and developing wildcats. It is also a great at predicting superior powder performance with new cartridges and projectiles.

Quickload is a great program, but it has had the field to itself for two decades and now it is dated. You can only buy it on a CD and most computers these days don't even have a CD drive. You have to pay 150 bucks for it and there are two other internal ballistic simulators which are just as good and (as noted below) are free! P-Max in particular is online so there are no operating system problems. Works on anything that has a browser, and anywhere you can get on the Internet. It is time QL had a 21st century facelift.

QuickLoad is a great program, but why is it only available on a CD? Why do you even have to pay for it? For two decades it was unchallenged on the market, but now there there are two free internal ballistics simulators which do the job just as well. As commented below one of them, P-Max, can even be used on online. So no problems with instability or operating system incompatibility. Save the $150 for some reloading equipment...
